Preflight / record of inspection

The agent that built your storefront cannot inspect it.

It reports on what it meant to do. We read what your public URL actually does, then hand you the findings as instructions your agent can execute.

01

Nobody checks the agent.

An agent can change a whole business faster than an owner can read it. Pages, prices, checkout, claims, policies. The failures are boring and expensive.

A buy button that 404s. Two different prices for the same product on two pages. A testimonial nobody can trace. “Trusted by hundreds of customers” on a two-week-old store. Lorem-ipsum left public. No contact address at all.

The owner cannot see it because they stopped reading the site. The agent cannot see it because it is grading its own homework, in the same context that produced the mistake.

  • LighthouseGrades performance and accessibility. A green score says nothing about a fabricated testimonial.
  • SEO crawlersFind broken links. They have no opinion about invented social proof, and they are priced for agencies.
  • AI QA toolsTest code paths for engineering teams with CI, a monthly budget and repo access. You have none of those.
  • Your agentReturns a confident all-clear from the party responsible for the bugs.

02

Every finding arrives in the same seven fields.

One shape, every time, so nothing is buried in prose. The sixth field is the one that matters: it is written to be pasted straight into the agent that made the mess.

Finding 1 of 5 / example.com / sampleCritical
ISSUE
The buy button on the homepage links to /buy, which returns 404. No other page reaches a checkout.
EVIDENCE
Buy now on https://example.com/
GET https://example.com/buy returned 404 at 2026-09-02 14:02 UTC

We followed every link on the 6 pages we fetched. None of them reached a checkout that responded.

SEVERITY
Critical
WHY IT MATTERS
A customer who decides to buy cannot complete the transaction. Critical is reserved for exactly this: the intended sale cannot happen.
RECOMMENDED FIX
Point the buy button at a checkout URL that responds 200, or remove the button until a checkout exists.
AGENT INSTRUCTION
On the homepage, the "Buy now" link points to /buy, which returns 404. Repoint it at the live checkout URL, or create /buy with a working checkout. Do not leave a buy button that resolves to a 404, and do not hide the button instead of fixing the link.
HOW TO VERIFY
Request https://example.com/buy and confirm it returns 200, then follow the buy button in a browser and confirm it reaches a checkout page.

Sample finding. example.com is the reserved example domain, not a real customer.

The checker is not the builder.

We have no access to your repo, your host or your agent. We see exactly what a customer sees, which is the only view that decides whether your business works.

03

We turn away the storefronts that pass.

The free check runs before you pay anything. If it reaches enough of your storefront and finds no Critical or High issue, the page says so and there is no button to press.

Your storefront passed.
Do not pay us.

6 of 6 pages checked / 0 Critical / 0 High

The other half of that rule is coverage. If a crawl is blocked, rate-limited or reaches too little of the site, we say “limited coverage” and name what we did not check. We will not call a storefront clean on 3 pages.

A paid report that finds nothing above Medium is refunded without being asked, and the Medium and Low items are sent anyway. We are not paid for manufacturing severity.

04

Machines check first. Reading happens second.

Deterministic checks run over the whole storefront, up to 25 pages from the URL you give us. A model reads only where interpretation is genuinely needed.

Deterministic

  • ReachabilityHTTP status on every link, button and CTA we can find.
  • CheckoutWhether the buy button reaches a live, reachable checkout.
  • PricesPrice strings extracted from each page and compared against each other.
  • FormsForms that post nowhere, and fields that discard what is typed.
  • PagesMissing contact and policy pages a customer would look for.
  • PlaceholdersPlaceholder and lorem-ipsum patterns left public.

Read for meaning

  • ClaimsRevenue or customer claims we could not corroborate anywhere on the site.
  • TestimonialsQuotes and names we could not trace to any source.
  • GuaranteesPromises with no stated terms behind them.
  • ContradictionsPositioning that says one thing on one page and another on the next.
  • DriftCopy that still describes a business the site no longer is.

05

Three minutes, start to fix.

  • Step 01

You paste a public business URL. No account, no install, no access to anything you own.

  • Step 02

The check log runs for about 40 seconds. You watch each check complete, one line each.

  • Step 03

You get one complete finding free, with its evidence and the instruction for your agent.

  • Step 04

The full report is $9. Every finding in the same seven fields, plus one free re-run within 14 days.

There is no account, ever. A preflight lives at an unguessable permalink and is also emailed to you. There is no subscription, and we do not pretend otherwise.

06

What we will not do.

  • We do not give legal advice.
  • We do not audit your security.
  • We do not promise you a revenue outcome.
  • We do not issue a score, a grade or a certificate.
  • We do not judge a storefront we could not read enough of.
  • We do not sell a report to a storefront that passed.

We respect robots.txt always, even when it costs us the sale. If a site asks crawlers not to read it, we stop and give no verdict.

07

Preflight is open.

One field, one button, and the most severe finding free. We collect nothing to run it: no email box, no waitlist, no account. Paste a public URL and read the check log as it goes.
